Trend Alert: D’Orsay & Two-Piece Flats

I got home from work yesterday with a package notification. Looks like UPS stopped by while I wasn’t home! But, my Amazon packages weren’t expected to come this early… what could it be?

Last week, my sister was asking for my opinion on flats because she supposedly wanted a new pair for work. So this fashionista over here (points to self) perused through Nordstrom online and picked out a few adorable pairs that I knew she, and I, would love. I presented her with various pairs — all d’Orsay and two-piece flats. These types of flats can easily be dressed up or down and never fail to turn heads. Its cuts, curves and pointed toes are more trendy than the typical ballerina flat and has a modernistic touch.

From the ones we went went back and forth on, these two made the final cut.

To my surprise, the two packages I received were both from Nordstrom AND from my sister! That little sneak tricked me into telling her what I wanted for my birthday. Kudos to my big sis for the awesome gift πŸ™‚ I absolutely love these; they’re exactly what I need — plus, they add an unexpected touch to my spring wardrobe!

Halogen ‘Kayla’ Pointy Toe Flat in Tan/Black: An essential comfy pair of d’Orsay flats that can double up as casual or chic. The two-toned aspect is right on trend and is versatile with any wardrobe — definitely a great addition to mine!

Enzo Angiolini ‘Aila’ Pointy Toe Flat in White Multi Leather: Dress it up with these pointy toe, slender strapped bad boys. Very flattering — but may I suggest ordering a half-size down, or get a pair of inserts for the heel. Super trendy; can’t wait to take these out on the town!

You know who else would look fabulous in these? YOU! If you order these now, you’ll have them in time for the new season and you’ll be the trendiest one of the group.

    1. Hi! I adore the black and tan pair too… I’m actually wearing them today and to my surprise, I don’t even have to “break them in.” They’re very comfy, I’d say, and I think even with a slightly wider foot you’d be fine. Measuring the lowest edge of the top piece, it’s about 3 inches across.
Size-wise, I have a size 7 (my normal size). They seem to fit great – doesn’t slip out when I’m walking. I think I could even go for a 6.5 if I wanted a more snug fit.
If you’re concerned whether or not they’d fit, stop by the nearest Nordstrom. Or, order them on and if they don’t fit, they have free, fast and easy returns/exchanges πŸ™‚ Hope this helps!
